Key-Bar Pneumatic Shaft
Key Bar Pneumatic Shaft is a precision roll handling component designed to provide stable core locking and efficient material control in automated production equipment. It uses a series of spring-loaded keys or lugs lined up down the length of the body. When you feed shop air into the valve, these keys pop out with a ton of mechanical bite, locking onto the inside of the roll core. This design does a good job of gripping the core tightly, keeping your material centered and reducing slipping or alignment drift when the machine ramps up to high production speeds.
They machine these mandrels out of tough, rigid metals so they can handle heavy roll weights and continuous industrial abuse without bending or throwing your line out of whack. The air-operated expansion mechanism is fast and responsive, allowing your crew to inflate the bladders to secure a new reel or drop the pressure to slide an empty core off in just a few seconds, which helps trim down your slow changeover times.
